    1. Preparing human resources for educators in the field of technology and vocational education who have national insight and devotion to God Almighty (IMTAQ).
    2. Organizing modern education and learning to produce expert educators in the field of technological and vocational education learning who are able to compete in Southeast Asia.
    3. Conducting research for innovation, development, and dissemination of science, technology, and vocational that support problem solving in technology and vocational education and training.
    4. Organizing community service activities that encourage potential development and exploitation of regional and national resources in favor of the environment and improve community welfare.
    5. Building synergistic and mutually beneficial cooperation with the world of work and industry, educational and training institutions, government agencies, universities, domestic and foreign polytechnics is understandable.
    6. Developing governance and strengthening the institutional capacity of the PVK Masters Program to build excellence and sustainable services.

 

Destination

    1. Produce superior and professional masters of education and vocational learning in the field of education and vocational technology training, for the needs of S1 and Diploma level educators at universities, vocational schools, and education and training institutions.
    2. Produce masters of vocational education who have research-based abilities to design and develop vocational technology education and training, and are able to provide solutions/solutions to various problems of technology and vocational education, currently and in the future.
    3. To produce masters of vocational education who are able to work together in a productive, creative, and innovative work team, so that they are able to take part in Southeast Asia.
    4. Produce masters of vocational education who have an Indonesian culture and work ethic, who are devout, hard working, tough, honest, cooperative, polite, and competitive.

 

Target

Along with the objectives to be achieved, the objectives of the Unimed vocational education master study program are as follows:

  1. Increasing the professional abilities of lecturers, vocational teachers, and training instructors in the northern Sumatra region, especially in conducting vocational education innovations, designing and developing technology and vocational training that meets existing standards.
  2. Increasing the ability of SMK and Polytechnic graduates in the northern Sumatra region according to standards, as a form of contribution to increasing the ability of educators and training instructors produced by the postgraduate vocational education master program

 

Strategy for Achievement of Goals

  1.  
    1. Optimizing the role of human resources (lecturers and administrative staff), existing facilities and infrastructure as well as increasing the capacity of human resources and infrastructure to meet the increasing demands of the community.
    2. Conduct learning innovations, research, and community service that ensures the involvement of various parties and the empowerment of the potential of the Study Program.
    3. Cooperating with various state/private universities that already have allied master programs in the fields of teaching, research and community service.
    4. Improve cross-sectoral coordination, both internal and PVK stakeholders to build an understanding of views on the domain of improving PVK organizational governance.
    5. Conduct internal monitoring and evaluation (monev) and internal control systems to ensure sustainable accreditation-based governance.
    6. Collaborating with various research institutions, both private and government.
    7. Conduct scientific communication through publishing study program journals (print & online ), organizing seminars, workshops and others.
    8. Organizing credit transfer education between similar study programs in Indonesia.
    9. Conducting exchange of tutors for subjects between similar study programs with Master of Vocational Education as benchmarking .
